Glitch City

I haven't exactly lived up to the gold standard of blogging that all of the world publications have led you to expect from me. I know. I'm a genius. I can entirely understand all of the angry emails I have received telling me how lives are significantly worse without my words to lift them.

Alright, none of that is at all accurate. But the truth is that I have not been very active in my self-imposed photographic duties. Blame it on a busy schedule, exhaustion, apathy and a desire for the apocalypse. It could be any number of things.

Though I haven't had many opportunities to add new raw material to my library, I still have the desire to do something with what I do have. Drawing inspiration from random instagram finds, a bit of vaporwave aesthetic, and the music of Lorn, Forest Swords, and Clams Casino, I've started to just fuck everything right the hell up.

It started as just a few one-off images for my own amusement, but I began to grow attached to the style and the process. The act of turning previously uninteresting photos into something worth more than a passing glance has added a bit of purpose to my hard drive full of mediocrity.

I try something new with each edit, and will hopefully dial in my personal "glitch" style into something that would make my ancestors proud. Instead of their current mood which is mostly disappointment and longing for the taste of something other than dirt.
